Hi, I’m Sarah, passionate reader, fantasy enthusiast, and the heart behind The Starlit Shelf. My love for books began in middle school when I first discovered the magic of the Harry Potter series and Piers Anthony’s Xanth series. Since then, I have fallen for romance, fantasy, mystery, and thrillers, though I will happily read any genre that promises a great story.
These days, my ultimate “roman empire” is Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series. Not a day goes by that I do not think about those characters and their world.
I created The Starlit Shelf to expand my love for books beyond my own reading list and into a space where I can connect with other readers and authors. At its core, this is a place for community and for lifting up indie authors by giving them the spotlight they deserve. You will find book reviews, thought pieces, and introductions to talented indie storytellers you might not have met yet.
Most nights, you will find me curled up in bed with my Kindle on its stand, a page turner remote in hand, and my poor husband wondering what exactly he started when he gave me that gift. I love all forms of books, physical, digital, and audio, and I usually have one of each going at the same time.
When you join The Starlit Shelf community, you are stepping into a positive and safe book club where every opinion matters. You will have the chance to chat with indie authors, dive into rich discussions, and celebrate the joy of reading together. One day, I hope to host a bookish retreat complete with themed food, drinks, and games to bring that magic into real life.
So, grab your favorite drink, pull up a chair, and explore. I am so glad you are here.
